What Are Credits?
Credits are prepaid AI token packs that extend your usage beyond your plan's monthly allocation. They provide flexibility when you need more processing power without upgrading your entire plan.
How Credits Work
- Plan allocation is used first — Your monthly AI token quota is consumed before any credits
- Credits kick in when plan is exhausted — Once your monthly tokens run out, credits are automatically deducted
- Credits never expire — Unlike monthly allocations, purchased credits persist until used
- Available on all paid plans — Free plan users must upgrade to purchase credits
Credit Packs

Auto-Recharge
Set up automatic credit purchases to avoid interruptions:
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing → Credits
- Enable Auto-recharge
- Configure:
- Credit pack — Which pack to auto-purchase (e.g., Standard €10)
- Threshold — Recharge when balance drops below this amount
- Monthly spending limit — Maximum auto-recharge spend per month (default: €50)
When your credit balance drops below the threshold, the selected pack is automatically purchased using your saved payment method.
Viewing Your Balance
Check your credit balance in:
- Dashboard → Settings → Billing — Shows current balance, recent transactions
- API —
GET /api/billing/creditsreturns balance and transaction history
Transaction History
Every credit operation is tracked:
- Purchase — Manual or auto-recharge purchase
- Deduction — Tokens consumed for enrichment, hygiene, or other AI operations
- Refund — Credits returned for failed operations
Each transaction records: amount, type, timestamp, and associated resource (project, session).
Best Practices
- Monitor usage — Check the billing dashboard regularly to understand your consumption patterns
- Set sensible limits — Configure auto-recharge with a monthly spending limit to avoid unexpected charges
- Choose the right pack — Larger packs offer better value per token
- Upgrade if consistent — If you consistently need credits, upgrading your plan may be more cost-effective
